Executive Staff

DAVID M. GRUBB – Founder/CEO

David Grubb has been in broadcasting, public relations advertising, and marketing communications for 25 years and has managed successful communications departments in both the public and private sector. He served as Director of Communicatons at Southern University at New Orleans, Dillard University, The Louisiana Dept. of Education, and the Algiers Charter School Association.

He is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists’ Sports Task Force and the National Sports Media Association and has won awards as a writer, social media manager, and podcaster.
KEVIN ROBINETTE – Chief Operating Officer

Kevin Robinette, the Chief Operating Officer at HITP Sports Media, brings a strong operations and technology management background to the team. With a successful history of owning and operating an IT company and working closely with various small businesses, Kevin excels in overseeing operational processes and ensuring the seamless functioning of all platforms.

His expertise is optimizing workflows, implementing efficient systems, and delivering a superior user experience. Kevin plays a vital role in managing and setting up our platforms.
GERARD N. TORRY – Executive Counsel

Gerard N. Torry is a highly experienced attorney with a diverse legal background spanning over three decades. Gerard provides invaluable guidance and support to HITP Sports Media across various legal matters. His extensive knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, and compliance ensures that the company operates within legal boundaries and mitigates potential risks.

His role in HITP Sports Media encompasses legal advisory, contract review, and general legal oversight, helping to safeguard the company’s interests and ensure its long-term success.

The Talent

RONALD AGERS – NBA Lead Writer

Ronald Agers grew up loving two things, sports and broadcasting. Over the last 25 years, his journey has kept him attached to his love of both via directing sports shows and being exposed to insider stories of sports anchors and their guests.

Since 2018, sports have taken full-time focus as he transitioned to being a writer covering the NBA for FanSided.com and the ESPN TrueHoop Network. He also spent the 2011-12 season as a radio reporter covering the then-Charlotte Bobcats for WGIV in Charlotte NC. Ronald is also a contributing writer for MLBbro.com
MADDY HUDAK – College/NFL Football Analyst, Host

Maddy Hudak is one of the rising stars in sports journalism. She provides her insights each week as a sideline reporter for Tulane University football, as a contributor to The Saints Wire for USA Today and ESPN 104.5, as well as many other television and radio programs. She currently hosts the podcast, Before the Whistle.

Maddy is also a graduate of The Scouting Academy, an extensive program designed and taught by NFL Executives and coaches to help individuals master the talent evaluation process.
OLEH KOSEL – Senior Writer, The Bird Writes

Oleh Kosel has been with The Bird Writes almost since its inception and was its longest-serving Editor-in-Chief while it was part of the SB Nation Network.

He has been a credentialed NBA writer for more than a decade and has earned a place among the most respected local media voices discussing the New Orleans Pelicans. In his new role with HITP Media, Oleh will shift his focus from the day-to-day grind of beat writing to providing deeper analysis, insights, and interviews.

Oleh also serves as co-host of The Bird Calls podcast.
TREVOR RITCHIE – Combat Sports & Sports Betting Analyst

Trevor Ritchie, an Alabama-based sports journalist, takes you into the Club Level and against all odds with athletes, coaches, entertainers, fighters, media members, sharps and degenerates.

Ritchie is a Mobile, Ala. native and Southern Miss graduate who has spent the last decade of his career not only proudly covering the Golden Eagles at his alma mater but also the New Orleans Pelicans, New Orleans Saints, Michigan Wolverines, combat sports and high school athletics — contributing to the Hattiesburg American, Clarion Ledger, Rivals.com, SB Nation and Nola.com, among others.
